Who We Are

Prime Steakhouse is Aiken’s premier restaurant located in historic Downtown Aiken. The atmosphere of the restaurant includes modern artwork on brick walls, beautiful table settings, and an exciting bar serving only premium drinks.

We are an authentic, big-city steakhouse reminiscent of Chicago or New York City. Offering the finest in aged steaks, whole lobsters, and fresh seafood, all meats are black angus or prime graded and dry aged, on premise, for no less than 28 days.

Open seven nights a week, we invite you to dine with us for an extraordinary experience that will captivate your party for an evening of amazing food and pure bliss.

We only serve the best!

History Behind Prime

When Chef Randy Stamm, owner of Prime Steakhouse, thought about the possibility of opening another restaurant after moving to the Aiken area, he said the stars would need to align perfectly. The stars were in his favor, it seems, because Prime Steakhouse would see its doors open faster than he had ever imagined.

Prime Steakhouse saw its first customers on Friday, July 10, 2009. Since then, Aiken has taken notice of the amazing atmosphere and amazing food as the restaurant has seen great success.

Randy envisions a future where Prime Steakhouse is known as the finest restaurant in South Carolina.

About Randy Stamm

Randy comes with plenty of experience. He has worked in his family’s New York City steakhouses since he was 16 years of age. Growing up working in his grandfather and father’s New York City steakhouses in the late ’60s and ’70s, he decided to go out on his own in the early ’80s after learning proper dry-aging procedures and butchering. He has owned numerous steakhouses spanning from New York City to Las Vegas, owning and operating over 20 restaurants under the Prime Steakhouse name.

Wanting to move on from the depressing economic climate and negativity of the northeast, he relocated to Aiken after retiring in 1999 to the New Jersey beaches. Once there, he was asked to revamp the culinary arts program at Aiken Technical College. Wanting to get back into the restaurant business he is so passionate about, Randy chose to see the rebirth of Prime Steakhouse.

The rest, as they say, is history!
